Amanda Watson
Associate
Registered Clinical Counsellor, (RCC #22879)I have a background in psychology, neuroscience, and clinical addictions. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in a range of mental health settings, including crisis response, recovery groups, and accessibility advocacy — experiences that shaped my belief that people don’t need to be “fixed,” but understood.
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, humanistic, and attachment-based approaches. I see counselling as a collaborative process where insight and action meet. Clients can expect a balance of curiosity, honesty, and practical tools in our work together.
I have a special interest in working with couples at all stages, men’s mental health, neurodivergence, and individuals rebuilding connection with themselves or others after loss, addiction, or major transitions. Clients can expect a mix of warmth, directness, and active engagement; we will explore patterns, but we will also focus on practical ways to create change outside of session.
At the heart of my work is the belief that growth happens when we feel safe enough to be challenged and supported at the same time. My role is to help you strengthen that balance, so you can understand yourself deeply, respond to life with more choice, and move toward what feels aligned and sustainable.
