Ali Margulius

Founder and Clinical Director
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #23540) currently waitlisting

I’ve always been curious about what it means to be human—drawn to creativity, emotion, and the many ways people make sense of their lives. After completing my BFA and BEd, I felt a calling to make a deeper impact and share my passion for connection and creativity with others. Moving from teaching to therapy felt like a natural evolution, as I’ve always thrived in meaningful, one-on-one conversations.

Those who know me describe me as warm, genuine, empathetic, and grounded. I hold a deep belief that the therapeutic relationship lies at the heart of meaningful change. My focus is on meeting clients where they are and creating a safe, non-judgmental space where they can feel seen, heard, and understood.

Informed by my diverse personal and professional experiences, I bring compassion and perspective to the challenges people face. I believe seeking counselling is an act of courage—a step toward self-awareness and growth. My aim is to support and walk alongside clients as they navigate their journey toward healing and change.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from The University of British Columbia, following a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in studio art practice and secondary art education.

Amanda Watson

Associate
Registered Clinical Counsellor, (RCC #22879)

I have a background in psychology, neuroscience, and clinical addictions. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in a range of mental health settings, including crisis response, recovery groups, and accessibility advocacy — experiences that shaped my belief that people don’t need to be “fixed,” but understood.

My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, humanistic, and attachment-based approaches. I see counselling as a collaborative process where insight and action meet. Clients can expect a balance of curiosity, honesty, and practical tools in our work together.

I have a special interest in working with couples at all stages, men’s mental health, neurodivergence, and individuals rebuilding connection with themselves or others after loss, addiction, or major transitions. Clients can expect a mix of warmth, directness, and active engagement; we will explore patterns, but we will also focus on practical ways to create change outside of session.

At the heart of my work is the belief that growth happens when we feel safe enough to be challenged and supported at the same time. My role is to help you strengthen that balance, so you can understand yourself deeply, respond to life with more choice, and move toward what feels aligned and sustainable.
